We Believe Art Should Tell a Story…

Why we started this concept:

The idea for Modest Heritage didn’t come from a business plan. It came from our family.

Once my parents were empty nesters, my dad began displaying his old military memorabilia on the walls. At first, it was just decoration. But something unexpected happened.

When family and friends — especially the grandkids — saw those pieces, they started asking questions. And for the first time, my dad began opening up to tell incredible stories of his time in the military.

The wall art became more than art. It became a bridge. A way to preserve memories. A way to share stories he had never spoken aloud before.

That’s when we realized something powerful:

Visual displays don’t just decorate a home — they preserve the journey of the people who lived the story.

From this realization, Modest Heritage was born.

My dad brought his years of experience in working with high-quality wood and custom finishing. I brought my drafting and computer design skills. Together, we set out to create heirloom-quality pieces that weren’t just beautiful… but that could tell a story.

And not just tell it once, but continue telling it, as life unfolds.

That’s why we designed our pieces to be customizable and expandable.

Every piece connects seamlessly with the others, turning a simple gift into a living, growing story.

So while our journey started with military memorabilia, our mission has grown much bigger:
